silver heart bracelet
I use a small twisted link to form some of my bracelets and necklaces. These ones have a silver heart or leaf shape attached at intervals which hang well on the links. They are punched for texture. I find my flowering garden and allotment a source of ideas though I rarely use the things I see in their true form.
silver and copper earring
These are a variation on an earring I constructed several years ago at college. I pattern the copper using old pieces of lace then punch out the circles and dome them slightly and solder onto the silver domed circles. So far I have made earrings and a pendant necklace to match. I think these remind me of the dark heart of some Rudbeckia flowers.
planet earrings
These new earrings were inspired by Chris Ofili’s exhibition at Tate Britain – instead of dung I’ve used silver balls! I felt with the lines going across it looked like the rings going round a planet so that is how the name planet earrings came about.
I had a stall at Sunday Upmarket in Brick Lane in May www.sundayupmarket.co.uk which was good fun and I hope to continue this more regularly during the autumn – watch this space for more information and dates.

Silver Teapot Earring
I have been making new jewellery and have been following up on the idea of earrings that literally go through the ear in one piece (see picture below).
I intend to elaborate on this with other ideas on a similar theme.
I have made (as seen on my website) a new all-in-one earring with integral hook and from these I have gone to make smaller circles which are joined together with a link and can be in twos or threes or more!
I intend to experiment with these and will have some ready for the Made In Bristol Spring Fair at the Colston Hall on 10-11 April 2010.

Last year was really quite busy. I showed at Room 212 on the Gloucester Road in April with Diane Doble Leemans and Ani Townsend and then at the Montpelier Art Trail at the end of April.

We had several hundred people through the doors that weekend.
Then in December I took part in the Made in Bristol Christmas Fair in the new Colston Hall foyer and was part of Art Presence at Centre Space Gallery (see photos).
